How it All Started

What started with helping my dad has grown into something I want to offer to others. Sometimes people want to learn how to do something themselves, and sometimes they simply need a helping hand.

How It All Started

This business really started with my dad. As my dad got older I wanted him to start using a smart phone in order to make his life more convenient. Helping him make the transition to a smartphone was challenging for both of us. For him, learning how to use it wasn’t just about having a new gadget—it became an important part of staying connected, managing everyday things, and even keeping up with his business.

Teaching him showed me that learning technology is an ongoing process. Just when you think you have something figured out, there’s a new update, a new app, or a new way of doing things. And honestly, there are times when trying to explain something takes longer than simply doing it myself. When that happens, I’m happy to step in and take care of it.

That experience is what inspired me to start this business.

I realized that there are a lot of people, especially older adults, who may not necessarily want to become technology experts. Sometimes they just need someone they know and trust to help get something done. Whether it’s setting up a phone, navigating an online account, filling something out, or figuring out a confusing technology issue, I can step in and handle it for them.

For me, this business is really about being someone people can count on.

I understand that some of the things people need help with can involve personal accounts, documents, passwords, or other sensitive information. That’s why trust and honesty are extremely important. I always want to be upfront about what I’m doing, what information is needed, and any risks involved before moving forward. There are ways to keep sensitive information with the client while I navigate applications.

What started with helping my dad has grown into something I want to offer to others. Sometimes people want to learn how to do something themselves, and sometimes they simply need a helping hand. My goal is to be that trusted person who can step in, take care of the task, and make life a little easier.
